by Courtney Brown, 10th

Mustang’s flag football has given us nothing short of an entertaining season. With the season now wrapped up, two team members (one junior, one sophomore) from the flag football team provided a summary of their season. Although their responses were brief, their energy and enthusiasm towards the season was nothing short of pleasing to see. When asked about the season and her overall experience as a member, junior Katelyn Smith stated, “It was pretty good. We won a lot of games to say it was our first time playing and we were good team mates. We had a lot of fun.”

Sophomore Morgan McCoy also had very positive comments regarding their season, stating, “It was really fun! It was a new experience for everybody considering the fact that we just got the football team. I feel like next year we will be better because we got to do it [this year] and it was fun!”

As an overall statement, both players expressed that this season was enjoyable, even though it was Murrah’s first year with a flag football team. Coach Body likewise expressed pride with the team’s season and is looking forward to next year,

With a 3-2 win-lose record, the flag-football team did a wonderful job for it to be their first time on the field. The flag football season did a fantastic job and the teammates hope to see a more fulfilling season ahead, just as much as the supporters!
